First thought: your genome can fit on a CDR?
Second: how much is the sequencing?

Third: wouldn't people notice?

I heard the scientists at the genome project were using iPods for data storage, and that was some years ago -- I'm not at all surprised to hear that your genome would fit on a CD.

looks like it's around a 1.5Gb. 3B base pairs -> 12B bytes. Easy fit on a DVDR.
